Default Computer reset.....95 Camaro 3.8

I had an egr problem recently, replaced it and reset the codes. The service engine light went off but came on and stayed on afterwards. That was a few days ago. Today on a trip to the store the service light went off and stayed off. Drove for about 15-20 miles after that and no light. Would it take that long for the computer to re-learn everything?

It shouldn't take a few days. Did you clear the code with a handheld, or disconnect the battery?

Autozone reset it w/the handheld.....Update....Autozone ran the codes no MAF or anything just the same error code I had w/the tranny. Everything runs smooth until the car has ran about 40-50 miles or if Im doing alot of errands where Im turning the engine off and on. It acts like its not getting correct fuel pressure. The car will run and it doesnt sputter just has some hesitation during semi-hard acceleration. I am leaning towards the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself. Anyone got any ideas? And does anyone know how I can check the regulator to see if its bad?

Already changed it. I found a wire on one of the fuel injectors had lost some of its insulation and had a bare spot in it. I heat shrinked it. Car seems to run better now. Back to autozone in the morning see if its anything else.

Well I thought everything was fine but now I am having worse problems. I have replaced egr valve, pcv valve, fuel filter, plugs&wires. Now I am having hp loss under load. Took it back to autozone. I now have the code for random cylinder misfire and p1406 EGR pintle posistion was 10% of the expected posistion. The guy at autozone was an f-body guy and said he had similar problem and suggested bringing in the coil packs and ignition control module for testing because they have a tendancy to become cracked and let moisture in. Anyone heard of this? Well I'm waiting for my tax return should be here this week so I can get another car as this is my only means of transportation.

Have you thought about changing it? When they fall apart, the honeycomb breaks down and clogs itself up. This gives the exhaust nowhere to really go. This then causes extreme loss of power, all the backpressure can cause misfires as well as some other random codes. This is all I can think it would be.
