I have a 2000 and my current exhaust is in shambles. Its a long story but i need everything new. I think im gonna go with a Borla cat back system, but please tell me what you guys recommend for headers, and tell me what i need for a cat, (and anything else i need) so that all of my new pieces fit together perfectly to make a whole new exhaust system. Im confused with what i need to make it work.
Please help me out!

Engine size? You will need 4 things. Headers,Y-pipe,Cat,Cat-Back system. Probably about $700-1k depending on quality of headers and y-pipe.
Usually you get matching headers and y-pipe so thats no problem.
Then Check the size of the inlet and outlet of your Cat. and Match the inlet with the y-pipe and outlet with the cat-system.
Hope that helps, and also pm sent.

i have the 3.8. but yes i know i need the right sized inlet/outlet, etc. But i know many you have already done this to your cars so it will be much easier if someone can tell me WHICH headers to get and WHICH cat to get, etc so it all fits perfectly with no mis-haps.
thanks

Don't forget an S-pipe replacement (a source of major restriction with four size reductions)...
also see:

It looks like there is an S pipe solution here:

Thanks "libertyforall1776." However, i do have one question for you; will headers bolt right up to that cat? I was thinking maybe that headers would possibly bolt right to that, then a y pipe wouldnt be necessary. Am i right???
