Could be if someone wrenched down on it.

 

knowing the previous owner im sure when he set the valve lash he wrenched em down till it was tight as hell so who knows. ill pull that lifter and cam and let you guys know what i find.

 

This is what the 1cyl intake lifter looked like. Some of the others where wore similar to this but their wasnt a real pattern. and looking from the top end i coukd tell that the cam lobe was gone, so time for new lifters and a cam.. any sugestions on cams and lifters? would it be benificial to install a bigger cam like the comp 260/260?

Any advice on lube or break in oil or anything to look for? Do I need to drop the pan to look for shavings or anything?
