yup that is the one. If you look about 1/2 way down you will see how the K&N system works. It still uses the silencer but repaces the box and small stock inlet. The system that Ghost has in the beginning is NOT the way you want to do it.

lol. i love the way he had it. So all that needs to be done is remove the air filter box and slap on a cone filter. sound simple and very cheap. cone filter = $50. I wish that slp system would fit. i've always loved the twin filter look.

Chaotic i know k&n made one for the 3.8L as my wife was going to get me one last year plus i can still picture it in my head the exact way it fitted in the 3.8l engine bay. but its so hard to find now a days.

 

the slp doesnt exactly fit the 3.4 there must have been an MAF sensor between the elbow and the actual filter pipe cuz there is about a 2" gap.
i bought the v8 slp intake and just had to get some pipe to fill the gap. nothing that crazy.

 

I had to do something similar to that when I put my K&N CAI on my car. I got some PVC pipe and painted it the same color as the car. Check it out!

 

See now why couldn't a guy do that with the 3.8l?

 

I had the SLP when I had my '97, and it fit fine. Though it came with an elbow.

 

Did you have an lt, 3.4 or the 3.8?

Looks like the place I got it from doesn't sell it anymore. The elbow that came with it was the 1LE from the LT1 I believe.
