does anyone know how i can fix this? i get code p1870 it happens when i drive for like an hour and seems to be when i go from 1st to 2nd, its very soon after i accelerate. the car drives fine i get the ses light after driving for like an hour.does anyone know how to fix this? my trans fluid is like brownish and burnt smell. thank you for your replies

 

That code means your trans is slipping, Odds are that your trans is about to die. At this point you can only hope and pray that some good fluid will help to get you by a little longer. If you would have goten the code without the burnt fluid then it could have just been a simple slip, but anytime the trans heats up and burns its time for a rebuild. Might want to call around to some junk yards now to help save on the high cost to repair one of those.
