finally bought a scanner for my 93 3.4 because of the studdering and ocasional backfire,,here's what i found,,code's 36 (24x crankshaft sensor) so i replaced sensor,,,same issues,,,rescanned and now i have code 17 which is camshaft sensor,think this might be my problem???,any ideas

 

It could be. That sensor reading along with the crankshaft sensor helps determine the timing of the car from what I understand.

 

Replace the Camshaft Position Sensor.
