All, I just spoke with Clear Image Automotive in Washington state, and they are willing to greenlight Long Tube headers for V6 3.8L Camaros if 10 people can come together with $600 upfront. (Coated would cost more, and a y-pipe would also be extra)

Anyone serious about LTs for their 3.8? We would also need a local 3.8L in WA state for about 2 weeks time - the works is estimated at 50 hours to develop them.

 

$600 per person, or $60. per person.

Yes, per person once they are all designed and in regular production, prices often drop with volume after the initial R&D costs are recovered...

I just added a poll, and I am ready to commit if others are as well, but 10 is the minimum to start this project.

Oh, and I'm not interested. I don't see the need to drop that kind of dough on headers, especially when I don't have the mods to utilize them.
