Cat-Converter-Do I absolutly need it?
I want to take the Cat-converter completly off my 1996 V6 3.8L, but I was wondering about the back pressure and what kind of exhaust would be best to put on it. Is it even okay to take the cat completly off??? And only for the cars sake not emmisions. Would it throw the Co2 sensor off so that the computer would be feeding more air or fuel into the system then it really needed to???? Would it even do that???? I am not quite sure what to do or how the comp. system would react to fully taking the cat off and replacing it with.....?????

Your check engine light will be on all the time. Your car has 4 O2 sensors. The ones in each manifold control the fuel mixture the ones before and after the Cat monitor the Cat. Your engine should run fine the only real issue is you will not know if something does go wrong cause your light will be on all the time.
You can remove it and do a tune to delete rear O2 sensors or buy O2 emulators, see:

Al Gore, the inventor of the internet? What a B$ artist, he needs to read articles here:

He never said he invented the internet, that was an invention of Karl Rove and the right-wing pundits. The truth is that Gore championed legislation - the the point where it was know as the "gore bill" - that funded the core of what ultimately became the internet. Give credit where credit is due, that piece of legislation was wildly successful.

the question my friend is not can is are you willing to deal with the paperwork issues that my arise
while its true that removeing the cat will mildly increase power....give a nice sound.. and acutally improve feul economy... assuming once it sounds better you can keep your foot out of it..... it will if visually inspected fail emmissions in most states... that is why i opted for the best of both worlds and got a high flow cat passes inspection still more power.... however if you live in a state that does not have emissions .... they are not at all nessecary
