Default Car's throwing codes..

Hey, my camaro started throwing some codes and since I don't know how to decipher them, I figured I'd let you guys take a whack at it...

PO306
PO420

One is an o2 sensor I'm assuming, could be wrong, and the other could be a misfire perhaps?
Which would then solve the problem of a rough idle I have been having??

Thanks in advance guys (and gals).

Car is in sig if you need that for anything...

Which means I need an o2 sensor for my left side exhaust pipe or what?? Sorry, don't know too much about that stuff...glad to see you're still alive Alih, even though you don't post in LTE anymore.

It's not the left O2 sensor. 420 code just means the cat isn't perfoming well. Either the cat isn't doing it's job, or the sensors monitoring the cat are fouled. The O2 sensors that monitor the cat (as well as one of the two main O2 sensors) are designated as Bank 1 which is the driver side bank.

So I should take a gander at my o2 sensors on my drivers side tailpipe and cat you're sayin?

And what about the 306 code?

306 is cylinder #6 missfiring. This could be the source of the fouled o2 sensor. Do you hear any rattling coming from the cat?

Is all you are experiencing is the rough idle? Does the engine pull alright (i.e. smooth with no bogging)?

generally when ive ran into a P0420 its been time to replace the cat. but both of the recent ones ive seen with that code came from a bad miss prior too the 420 code being thrown. so i would say figure out the cyl 6 miss and then more than likely you will need a new cat.

Yeah i had the same problem about 3 months ago, i replaced numerous things, but it ended up being the cat converter so i would check that to begin with.
