Car just died while driving

Best case? Your battery and alternator both died or fuel pump went (as Craby has above) causing the engine to shut off and not able to start again. That's more of a hopeful wish but is possible if you think about it. If the gauges went to zero after the engine died and before you turned it off completely that is plausible. Now if the oil pressure gauge went to zero before the car completely died, that hopeful wish is out the window.
Worst case is the engines gone. Could easily find a low mileage replacement. 3.4s aren't too hard to come by and cheap. Could upgrade to a 3.8 or V8. Or completely rebuild. Sell or part out. What ever floats your boat and whatever you're willing to spend.

Simple electrical issue or a fuel pump or even just a fuse/relay would be best case. Might be a good idea to check the fuses since thats easy. Do whatever is easy to check first. Many things can cause the car to just die but the fact that you said you had no oil pressure while the car is running is not a good sign. Take a look at the manual pages craby posted they should help point you in the right direction.

i dont remember which years and models have the fuel shutoff that is ingaged if the oil pressure goes to 0 but some do. if yours is one of those then the computer would have shut the injectors down. thing is the motor should start and die when it sees no oil pressure. anyways start with the basics, does it get spark, does it have fuel pressure, are the injectors being fired. you can find info for these tests at shbox. they are for lt1 but these tests are pretty much the same for your 3.4

The oil pressure switch fuel pump supply is a secondary feed.

Ok well the can turn it by hand so I guess that's a good sign? At first it was pretty hard to turn but then it got easy after about a quarter of a turn. I am about to check the fuel pressure now and hope for a fuel pump problem... My battery is charging currently so it might take an hour or so to check

So here's the whole scoop. Could be good news. So I charged my battery to see if my fuel pump was engaging and it was. I then tried to start my car and it started right up!... for about 15 seconds and then it died. The engine is getting fuel but it has no spark. Any new solutions on what it could be? Ignition Control Module? I just don't understand what could cause my car to just die and prevent it from starting. Thanks for all the help guys.

Sorry. I must have not seen them the first time. I have photo display off on my phone so it doesnt drain the battery. Thanks for the pics. Will check it tomorrow or friday because its dark out now. Hopefully its an open ground and not the module.

From my experience, I had a bad connection from my ICM to my coils causing MAJOR misfires and loss of power, with connections cleaned and tightened down she fired right up and ran smoothley. From what it sounds like you did not experience any of this, but it could be a possiblity

Look to grounds first. You can take the ICM off and have it tested at your local parts store. I know Advance does it and I believe Autozone and Oriellys do too. That'll at least make or break it as far as the ICM goes.
