Can I go from dino oil to synthetic blend or full synthetic on my 2000 3.8?Car has 85k miles. Almost all my previous cars have used full synthetic so pouring this oil on my babe feels weird . So what suggestions guys? Can it be done?

Yep, go for it. I use nothing but synthetic. Full synthetic, or blend, is totally compatible with conventional oil.

 

So its as easy as draining the old oil? So I can just dump fresh full synthetic in there? Heck that sounds just to easy... What about any build up or leftover from dino oil will that get in the way or it doesnt matter? Rookie questions sorry!

 

Yes, drain old, add new. No worries.

Walmart SuperTech in 5 qt. is the least expensive full synthetic I've found, and I use it.

 

It'll be fine. May want to make your first change a little early, synthetic cleans better and is going to knock some gunk loose. Or seafoam it first.
