I'll put up an "after" picture to show how it looks now.
Currently I'm reading about a high rpm miss (4K rpm up) and decelerating popping. Some ideas are the fuel pressure regulator, a clogged EGR, or a vacuum leak somewhere. I do know that the car has 151k miles so it could be an EGR issue or a blown fuel pressure diaphram. I don't smell fuel though. I also know that one plug wire (#5) ripped out of the boot when I pulled it off. I stuck it back through and crimped it but it could still be goofed up.

new plug wires would be a good start, plugs if it needs em. check 02 sensors to see if there fouled (all black) popping could be a missfire or to much fuel. from the sounds of it its not the latter. have it scanned for codes just in case. never know whats saved in the computer till you look.

Thanks for the advice Craby. As a matter of fact the SES light kicked on last night so we'll have it scanned at AdvanceAuto (hopefully). It's an ODB-I connector.

Here's a pic I took of the car last night. Oh, and just before we left, the serp belt shredded off a couple of ribs. Apparently due to the power steering pump being offset slightly. wth. I put on an old belt and we went for a ride. Gotta go research that issue now.

We brought the car to Advance Auto but they couldn't scan it because they didn't have an ODB I scanner. Any other options? I don't want to buy one but would like the code off it.

check at a couple of shops, give em a call and let em know what you have and ask what they would charge to scann. 94 is a odd one with the computer and the obd1 plugin they have so not all obd1 scanners will work. gm shops will do it but most will charge quite a bit.

Ok. New power steering pump installed. We found that the old one was well worn and the pulley wobbled and that's what caused the belt to shred. Added a new tool to my tool collection. I also changed out the spark plug wires and found that the #5 plug wire was torn out of the boot partially.

Went for a ride and it's a hundred percent better. No more high rpm miss. Now we just need to get an alignment before the front tires go to heck.
