Burnt spark plugs?!

So today i was pulling my 94 camaro 3.4 v6 motor and when i pulled my spark plug wires i noticed my plugs where burnt. Burnt so bad it burnt the white coating off the plug, the plugs wires and coils are all like 1000 miles old. any ideas?

You are talking about staining on the outside of the plug? Could be as you stated or staining from an oil leak. The porcelain on the outside of the plug should be fine to 1500 degs F. You got something outside of your engine that is 1500 degs how well you plugs hold up will be the least of your worries.
