Burnout Question

Default Burnout Question

Yesterday i was doing a burnout and i realized when i got out that both of my tires were in fact spinning. can anyone explain to me what happened? like i thought v6s werent posi's

but anyways i have a video and ill post it soon.

You prolly have the Y87 package on your car. What year is it? Badinfluence can help you with that.

its a 2000 V6 5 Spd. how can i tell if i have that i dont have a the body kit or anything so if someone could tell me how i can determine that that would be great thanks

i don't think they have anything different on the body, i think they just have a posi rear end and the z28 steering and suspension. i'm not too sure though.

Look at the codes on the door for the y87.

Pull the cover off the rear end and take a look. Probably needs a lube change anyway.

Y87 perf code

G80 i believe is the LSD code

Sometimes both wheels will spin a little, if you do a brake stand for several seconds, both wheels keep spinning and spinning

Where do i look for the Y87 code and wat is the G80??

and from the moment i start to the second i finish they are both spinning if that means anything

Look at the placard on the driver's door. There will be a list of 3 digit codes.
