Is there a trick to bleeding the clutch? I have AllData and what they say is a long process. Just wondering if anyone has an easier way? There's no bleed valve.

I have very little pressure on the clutch so this leads me to belive I have air in the system and need to bleed it.

 

If you pump the crap out of it and keep adding fluid you should be able to work the air out.

 

ya 95 clutches suck lol there a "self bleeding system" meaning every time you use it your bleeding it but to bleed it because there was a break in the line takes hours of pumping

 

Well, I hope it's just that I need to bleed the clutch. I have very little clutch pedal, not enough to change gears. The tranny was rebuilt, so I guess my slave and master cylinders are ok. I'll be bleeding it tomorrow. No room today for it.

 

To bleed the clutch do the following:

Unbolt the slave cylinder from the transmission.
Feed it up to the engine compartment.
Remove your master cylinder reservoir cap.
Pump your slave cylinder with full, slow strokes and watch the reservoir for air bubbles.
Continue to pump your slave cylinder until there are no more bubbles. (This may take a while)
Top off the reservoir with dot 3 brake fluid.
Cap the reservoir.
Re attach the slave cylinder to the tranny.

Bled the clutch today and the pedal is alot better. I have alot more pedal now.

i tried feeding it thru the engine bay twice with no luck still low pressure i did remove the zip tie thing and think i threw it away. maybe it would work if i keep the slave under the car while bleedin it that way the bubbles float up? not sure what the old oil pump your talking about is any advise? the car with start but not shift low pressure on the pedal.

 

Feeding the slave cylinder up to the engine bay only allows you to watch for bubbles. You can do this procedure with the slave cylinder under the car if you have a friend watch the reservoir for bubbles. Good luck!
