Default Best wax to use

Hey can people suggest to me what is a good wax that you get from a regular retail store that is good for your car. I want something that I can put on the front bumper and hood to avoid chips from stones and rocks on the highway thank you.

You will get lots of opinions, I like Mothers. Its a little more work then most of the others but I think its worth it.

If it's rock chips you are concerned about, what about some sort of protective film?

Myself I prefer Klasse AIO over any wax . Especially when used with the Sealent Glaze . Falling down easy to use and good for up to 6 months. The bugs an nasty stuff just wipe off it . It takes all the build up , oxidation basically anything that shouldnt be there off. Its also very clear coat friendly. Thing is wipe it on , flip the cloth over wipe it off and a lil bit does go along way. A regular bottle will last quite awhile if used correctly. Heres a little write up about Klasse.

Klasse All-In-One polishes away oxidation and leaves a deep acrylic shine that can last for 6 months or more. All-In-One is not a wax, silicone or polymer but an acrylic formula. It really is different. All-In-One bonds to the surface like a regular car wax but doesnt penetrate or change the paint in any way. It matches the depth and clarity of a high quality carnauba wax but lasts much longer. Two applications a year (maybe just one) will keep your car looking great.

All-In-One contains a real polish. It removes surface films, old wax, minor swirls, and oxidation. Its a true one-step product. It cleans, polishes and protects in one easy step.

Use Klasse All-In-One on all one stage and clear coat paints, gelcoat and painted fiberglass, convertible windows, all clear plastic, finished wood furniture, porcelain, tile, marble, glass, chrome, aluminum, stainless steel and all metals.

Klasse is famous for its mirror-like shine! Klasse All-In-One:

* Produces a great shine with excellent depth and clarity.
* Is economical, requiring about one ounce to shine and protect a car.
* Is very easy to use. Simply wipe on and wipe off. No drying time is needed.
* Doesnt haze or streak if there are water droplets on the surface.
* Contains no abrasives or silicones.
* Does not stain plastic, vinyl or rubber trim.
* Maintains its shine wash after wash.
* Lasts longer than wax.
* Can be used on any non-porous surface.

That came from a Autopia Review.

I'm with Gorn and say Mothers is your best option. I've tried that new Turtle Wax Ice and it's pretty damn sweet too though.

I've always had good results with silicone based wax.

the 303 parts brands seems to work well to my car, got some nice shine to it when I cleaned the bonnet of my car. It lasted a lot and I only need to wash the car one a week.
