bad converter

Default bad converter

went to autozone to have the codes read and one of them was clogged or faulty cat.....thinkin about cutting it off and just welding a peice of pipe in cuz im not spending the money to replace it......what u guys think yes or no

Maybe. You will not pass emissions, and there's an o2 sensor behind the cat, so you'll either need to have the computer tuned to get rid of it, or buy a simulator, but I've read that they don't last very long. If I had the same issue, I would put another cat in, you can get one off ebay for about $50.
