Chadimus I saw that you rebuilt your 3.4... What all do i need part wise to rebuild my 3.4? Besides gaskets of course.
And about how much did it cost is parts? also how much did it cost in labor. My 3.4 has 186,000 miles and im thinking about getting a rebuild. I just want it to be back to original shape and im a college student so i dont have alot of funds.

 

i replaced all the main stuff (plugs, wires, water pump, thermostat, ect...). i tore my motor down and pulled it out and had the block sent off to be resurfaced. i replaced alot of stuff on my motor. my dad owns a machine shop so i had him resurface the motor so im not sure how much it would be to have that done. my car is also a 5spd. so i had a high performance clutch put in as well. i didnt pay anyone to do this, i did all this myself. it no day job though. it took me about a month to do it. over all i think i spent $600-$700.

 

Can you tell the difference in the Hi-Pro clutch? Or will it just last longer and take more abuse (so to speak) I really appreciate your info,

oh yea there's a big difference in the clutch. you get better response out of it. it drives better than a new car. i jus put speed rated tires on it. my rear tires are 12.5" wide and my fronts are 10.5" wide. ill try to post some pics but lately my computer hasnt been wanting to work with my camera. im from onalaska texas baby!!!!! where you from???

yea thats my car. the exterior is stock. the interior isnt modded alot but its not stock either. the only thing modded is my system. ive got six 12" subs that are bein pushed by a 4000watt cadence amp. all of it has custom boxes.
