I myself use the SLP cold air intake, it sits right in front of the radiator and works very well for me. Also it uses the stock intake so you dont have to mess with tubing. Im looking to invest in the Whisper lid soon to complete my setup. My setup will go like this: SLP intake, K&N Air Filter, Whisper lid, then to my Helix TBS. I also have a functional SS hood, so air is also forced into the stock intake from there. There is a lot going on lol but it works great for me. (After installing the Helix TBS i can hear a high pitch air noise starting around 2500 rpms, sounds kinda cool lol.)

looks like a good plan music and just to clarify ur problem with the ebay intake was that the piping was thicker in the bend and therefore restricted airflow correct? or were there other factors as well?

The elbows were restrictive, the piping was small, and the filter wasn't big enough. lol, it was all screwed up.

I hope so, I'm actually debating it now. The weather here is turning really sour, getting tired of trying to keep it from hydroplaning every morning on the highway. Might just put her up for the winter next week.

yeah my experience in las vegas with hydroplaning had me ending up hitting a van but since it rarely rains theres oil built up on the ground when it does. i wish i had another car to drive when i rains

Good to know, whenever i get all 4 of my gears back i'll have to look into modifying something up for the 3.4

Well, crap. I decided I would buy the K&N setup today, but it seems like it's discontinued. Not even on K&N's site. So the only quality CAI is the SLP one, and they raised the price to almost $300

Crap, we're getting phased out.

I thought K&N only offered one for the 98' - 02' V6s in the first place?
