If a 1996 Grand-Am alum head fits on a 3.4 V6 rwdwhat bolt-on issue's are they and are they hard to do ?? Would I also need the Intake Manifold and TB? Im in the process of rebuilding a 3.4 V6 with a HP cam, new pistons,CAI, Headers andExhaust this would be a great HP Increase.

Duh, perhaps I'm a bit old and simple, but from day 1, when we invented dirt for our ears and to race on,builders were always trying to save an ounce here, a pound there .... in other words, WEIGHT! That's the BIGGEST advantage to aluminum engine components. Save 100 lbs and it's like adding another 40 hp for FREE. Don't need no flow charts to figure that one out.

I don't know who set this whole thing off, but.

It is great to havebeen bestowedwiththe erudite words of the great 3.4 V6 Oracle. All hail the pompous black34v6 and pay homage, as he told us that he knows all that can possibly be known about the 3.4 engine. The Alpha and Omega of the 3.4 is leaving our forum, and, alas, he will not write again in arrogance to tell us that we are Neanderthals and not worthy of his great insight and wisdom. But, do not despair my fellow cavemen and cavegals, asall he presented uswas alreadycommon knowledge, andwe will persevere and carry on regardless.

Nowhere, aluminum headers will melt that is why they are not made. Are you sure you don't want aluminum heads?
