Default Appearance/Performance

I have a 2000 Chevy Camaro and I am getting $2000 back from taxes. What kind of appearance/performance mods should I start out with?

Car is completely stock.

First thing....does your car have any issues? Second if not start off with an CAI ( Cold Air Intake ). $200...then upgrade your exhaust. I suppose you have a 3.8 so I would go with a magnaflow cat-back system with some nice 2 1/2" tips- $400 or $500 with install. You could also put headers from BBK $250..$400 w/install. I always say a nice tint makes a big difference in appearance. Now with just about $900 left..maybe you can get a good set of rims and tires off Ebay.

Thanks for the suggestions. Does ordering off Ebay really work? Where can I find an available guide to how dark my tints can be in Maryland?

ebay works...I got C5 Rims/Tires for under $400. In michigan it can be up to 5% on windows, except for drivers front side, passenger front side, and windsheild cannot have tint.

Also, the performance mod with the biggest single noticeable increase for the money is Nitrous...get a full intake/exhaust then run nitrous. I have $1,000 into my exhaust/intake/nitrous btw

Go to any local Tint shop they should have the state requirements listed. They have to for legal purposes. In most states you can have the rear window up to 15%.. driver and passenger sides at 35%. If you want to get a Nitrous system put in make sure you go to a real race shop and have it done right. Some local side shops could make a mistake and your engine will fry. Next...and most important..and I see a lot of people make this error...if you are going to increase that much HP...upgrade you braking system...it's logic...the faster you go...the quicker you have to stop.

I'm a little partial to a cute red head in the right seat as a appearance upgrade but a long legged blond would do in a pinch. But with $2k, won't keep them around for much.

IF I was spending money on the car, think I'd go with a ground effects kit, good spoiler, some NICE paint and wheels.
