Default AIRBAG LIGHTS ON HOW TO GET IT OFF

I HAVE A 95 CAMARO 3.4 V6 AND FOR SOME REASON THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON FROM THE TIME YOU TURN ON THE KEY TILL YOU TURN IT OFF. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN A WRECK AND THE AIRBAGS HAVE NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND I WAS WONDERING HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND GET THE LIGHT TO GO OFF AND STAY OFF CAUSE I AM AFRAID IT WONT PASS INSPECTION IF THEY SEE IT ON. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR HAVE ANY IDEAS ABOUT IT . THANKS IN ADVANCE

It could be a mulfuntion somewhere else in the system. I wouldn't suggest doing this without getting it checked out but you could take the bulb out.

The previous owner of my car replaced the ignition switch and said that when he put everything back together the air bag light and security light wouldn't turn off, any ideas? 94 3.4

I presume the guy removed the steering wheel to change the ignition switch. Did he forget to plug the air bag back in, or did he accidentally cut or break a wire or bare a wire casing to create a short, or did he short out a wire and blow a fuse? It sure looks like he screwed something up though.

well i just took the positive side of battery off and took out the bulb and the fuse in the fuse box so they didn t have any power to them. is there a relay that they have to get power to them cause i didn t know for sure and would like to know so i can get that out too if so? i also tried to unplug the airbag harness plug too and had to plug it back up because that s the only way my car will start. it wouldn t start or do anything besides the dash lights came on when unplugged so thats what i did. anyone have anymore ideas let me know.
