Air Conditioning Problems?
I drove to atlanta on thursday and i noticed when i would go uphill my A/C would change from the dash vents to the floor vents. I have also noticedthat it does itwhen you floor it. but it only does it above 45unless it is floored. it this normal? Or do i have a problem?
No, that's a problem. I'd begin looking at the vacuum operated actuator that controls the vent selection. The greater the engine load, the lesser the vacuum. If it only switches to floor during acceleration or on an uphill climb, the engine has less vacuum, therefore the actuator door is switching positions until the vacuum is restored.
Beneath the jungle that is the dash. Actually, it's pretty much between the firewall and the A/C controls. You'll need to do a lot of removing of panels and trim pieces. Not exactly sure what, but I know it's in that genereal location.
