My air conditioning dosent really work. I think i just need a charge i guess. What exactly does that do, and is it possible for me to do it or do i have to take it in. Also does anyone know if its very expensive process to do. Im looking into selling my camaroand want to get everything working. thanks

They have all the stuff you need at NAPA, or autozone. Pretty simple.

I believe a shop will charge you ~$50 for a recharge....

keep in mind, it may have a leak in the system, if bad enough, the recharge will not fix the AC

It's not a generally expensive project to take on. I'd have it recharged and inject a UV dye to detect any refrigerant leaks.
