on my 95 3.4L my abs inop lightis always on and a while ago it would go on and off. Before when i would rinse the brake dust off myrotors the light would go off but now it stays on.

 

When my alternator died the abs inop light came on.

 

Are your tire sizes the same on all fours?

 

yesthe tires are all the same size 17" if im not mistaken
i alsohave an aftermarket stereo, speakers, and 2 10" subs with a small amp and a 2 farad capacitor
if that would be a reason

 

Get it scanned and see what it is complaining about. Your ABS is not working when the light is on.

 

where could i take it because the dealer is askin 150 to justfind outand auto zone and checkersboth dont read ABS

You're an idiot for not liking abs, it's your best friend. ABS has saved my rear a several times already.

 

Maybe he likes the sound of the tires as they screech to a long halt.

To the OP: If it is on all the time, I would think it is a faulted wheel speed sensor. Not sure exactly how you would check for the ABS is telling you.

 

well my abs inop light came on when my alternator died like i said, but that was right after getting my sound system hooked up.. Once i got a new alternator it turned off.... so in all honesty thats where id start.
