Wrong and wrong. Ever notice that this question is so comon, almost as comon as "what would it take to swap a V6 for a LS1." The sending unit in the tank is bad, it comon, dont worry about it and listen to Camaro69.

Ive never seen a camaro with a low fuel light but the check gauges light should come one when you go below 1/4 tank, and i believe that 93-97 f-bodys had 14.5 gallon tanks and after that it was 15.5, but i know for sure it is not 16.9.

only time my check gauge light came on was when my alt went bad.. eh i was down road from gas station, but gas station was up the hill, and my house was only 3min away, so i jus called my mom and she syphoned some out of the lawn mower.

I just checked the manual. All 98-02 Camaros have a 16.8 gallon fuel tank. Here is a quote straight from theelectronic copy of the manual.Page 6-70.
