Has anyone put a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler on a completely stock 3.8l Camaro? I'm looking to get a deep, low sound without putting a bunch of money in to headers and catback systems. Any other suggestions for what I'm looking for?

 

I have a 2000 v6 (pretty well stock) and just put a flowmaster 44 on mine. I think it sounds pretty cool and it wasn't that expensive.

 

Ok, I'm looking to have a dual outlet. First of all, what size inlet and outlet for a V6? Also, will a center inlet dual outlet fit my car?

 

stock your pipes run 2.25"
personally I wouldn't go with flowmaster
not the best sound or flow
get a dynomax super turbo muffler,
cheaper and way better,
no RASP!
you can get to 2.5" mufflers too,
a muffler shop can fix you up easy.

i just check out some videos of the 3.8 with the exhaust and there is a raspy tone at higher RPMs. your gunna get that with any stock 3.8 the only way to get rid of that sound is with a new cams and heads. man my sixer sounds just like a beefed up rice can at around 4k its got the Flowmaster Series 80 on it from my z and i just drive normal around town and it sounds pretty nice

and barley rasps at all and its not under load either!
so yeah its the best
