Default 98 V6-LS1 Swap?

I just bought a 1998 Camaro with a 3.8 liter V6. I am wondering if a LS1 Motor and a manual tranny will fit. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks 98_Camaro!

you would need a doner car. better off selling the base camaro and buying a v8 camaro.

Head over to the project section and are seveal projects going on. If you have a car you where absolutle in love with or if you had a known great engine and tranny that needed a new body then it might be worth it. The reality is for what the LS1/trannies are selling for you can almost buy a running car that just needs a little TLC.

In fact I am seeing a lot of good bodied being parted out because guys bought a running car and just pulled the motor for their project and now they are parting the rest out. They save money doing that. The fact everyone wants the Ls1 for all kinds of projects has driven the price up so high that most base model Z28 are worth as much in parts as they are as a whole.
