Yeah it is poor, but thats one hell of a sleeper to me.
In another note, I cant seem to find the Camshaft sensor plugin, Where the heck does it plugin at? I've never worked on a 3.8 nor have I ever seen a 3.8 being worked on.
I need a wiring diagram for the whole engine it seems.

 

Found it, It ended up having a intake manifold gasket blown.

 

Still not a sleeper. Maybe this will help. Imagine a Friday night, there are dozens of people at the hot spot for street drag. A new guy pulls up no one knows. He is in his dads 4 door 71 Chevelle with single exhaust. He is real young and gets out of the car and says I want to race! Its 100 bucks a run. Some guy with some light mods says I will run ya. They race kid wins by 1-2 lengths. Kid comes back and say whos next. This time a decent built car line up and again he wins by one or 2 lengths. This contines until there is no one left to race. The kids leaves for the next town with his pockets full. That is a sleeper. When used right it always wins by just a little This is where the term comes from. It was concidered by some to be a con, kind of like a pool husler.

All it takes to not be a sleeper is a loud exhaust or basicly anything that would make someone think its a fast car. Heck by the late 70's we assumed any Vega showing up was a V8 even tho they where crap from the factory there where so many monster V8 vegas around you coud not build a Vega sleeper cause everyone assumed it was built.
