98 camaro running horrible again
ok so i just spent all evening putting in a new 02 sensor in my G/F's 1998 3.8L camaro because thats what the code read the bank 2 sensor was bad if you remember the previous thread. so i replaced it(PITA by the way), so we take it out for a drive and its doing the same thing it was before, when you accelerate even moderatly it hesitates and runs horrible, and the check engine light came back on. any clue at all what it is??? even just an idea???? can i but just a cheap code reader somewhere? thanks

RE: 98 camaro running horrible again
Have you checked your fuel pressure? Perhaps the filter is dirty thus starving the engine under load? I would check the little things first, like are you sure the spark plugs are good the coils the ICM and all that jazz.
I have heard that a plugged cat could cause it to run like that though also, its a pretty general problem with a laundry list and a half of potential causes.

My previous car (95 monte Z34) had a plugged cat and did the same. After driving it for awhile look under the car and if its glowing orange theres your problem. Not saying thats it but its worth looking into.Hope that helps, but if not ive been wrong before and ill be wrong again.
