The stereo sometimes powers on. If it won't power on the power windows will not work. (stock stereo) Sometimes the stereo powers up and stuts off kiling power to the power windows. I took the radio out and checked the wires for loose connections and it started working. Wellit worked for a few hours and when I turned off the car and re started itthe radiowould not power up again. I got the radio to come on and I hit the power window button and it killed the radio. I am at a loss anyone know a fix for this? Possibly a module or something?

Mine does the same thing... Which is a horrid event when you have a 90F day here and no AC

I've checked the grounds, at least what I can find w/o a wiring schematic. Anyone have one? If there are a few on here with the same problem someone has a fix? Anyone????

 

Retained Accessories Power (RAP) module, would be my guess. I have heard of similar symptoms from others, and that was what it ended up being.

 

alternator maybe?

 

ok I tackled it today. I found the rap/bcm there are three different imputs. with the acc key in the on position, I just started wigglingthemolex imputs and the radio and windows worked. As soon as I let off forward pressure (towards the firewall) it stopped again. I just got a zip tie and tied around the blower fan wire harness. possibly a bad connection. I drove it all day with the t tops off, windows down and jammin to some pantera!!! Life is good. Thanks for all the advice.
