97 3.8 camaro EGR code and misfire
I threw a p1406 and p0300 (I think but it was def random misfire) drove to my home city and ran codes again p1406 and p0305.
I replaced EGR valve that got rid of the p1406 but this cylinder 5 misfire is driving me crazy. I've changed wires and plugs and done everything I can except pull the injectors off to check them. As far as I could tell with my trusty screwdriver the injector is working fine. I think it could be a clogged CAT? after I changed the spark plug wires I got a serious decrease in power and acceleration but the misfire stayed in cylinder five so I didn't do the wires wrong or anything. Please dear God help me I know it could also be a valve within cylinder five not working properly but I really hope that ain't the problem. I'm also very convinced that the EGR code has something to do with the misfire but I could be wrong.
