well i planned on running 5 lbs i kinda want the sound more than the power (ik you wanna ask why???) but i got the turbo and intercooler for free i can make a header and still get a little power and have the bragging rights to a 3.4 turbo i know it wont be fast but still cool

Do a 3500 top swap if you're gonna do a turbo build

 

i was deff thinking a 3.5 top swap i found a malibu in the junkyard and they only want 150 for everything heads and up

 

Hey if you can custom make headers try a headers with true duels and see what it sounds like. 10 times easier and it may sound pretty good. Both the 3.5 and top end swap and the turbo require a ton of research and they are very detail dependant. That means get one thing wrong and your could trash the whole motor.

If you do anything to your 3.4 that makes it better you should do a detailed thread on it. On this forum V6 4th gens is the most active sub forum and there are very few modding 3.4's. I have been waiting for someone here to take on the 3.5 swap. A project I would love to do is a 92 with the 3.4 swap then do a 3.5 swap on the 3.4. It would be kinda cool to have a 3rd gen V6 that would keep up with a 92 L98 Z.

 

ya ive been thinking about the swap for a wile now im just saving up some funds im not to good at researching so if anyone could help me out on some info that would be much appreciated and i deff plan on a build thread with lots of pics

Do you have the skill and tools to make custom headers? like I said earlier in the post if you do not the cost of just that makes it not worth it. The reason you do not see a lot of chevy V6 turbo around is because if does not make any sence. For what it cost you could buy a stock V8 that would be faster. Sure you can do what Musicman is doing and be faster then a V8 but you have to really be in love with the V6 and the challange of making a V6 fast.
