Default 96 camaro v6 running real bad

i have a 96 camaro with a v6..heres the deal..when under load only this happens..i can be stopped at a light and the idle surges between 800rpm and 1100pms. when i take off from a stop it has hardly and accel, it sputters and feels like the exhaust is plugged..then it will accel good, then start doing it again..its obviously missing real bad..the engine light will flash at higher speed only, and i kinda get a rotten egg smell and a metal burning smell..and i also noticed that when i turn a corner and try and accel it dosnt have any pickup to it..any ideas?

that egg smell is your cat going bad/clogged. replace it but that doesn't solve your miss firing problem. run some test, check the condition of the plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel pressure.. the quick simple stuff first.

it came back as a misfire in #5 and #6..also it was pulling codes for both o2 sensors and egr valve..i replaced the coils for #5 and #6 and it isnt running as bad..but 1 bolt for the middle coil broke, so now i have 1 bolt holding that coil on..its holding in place nice and tight..the idle is still fluctuating at idle under load

Fouled plugs can sometimes be a side-effect of another problem, not the cause. Your problem could return, depending on what with, and why the plugs were fouled.

well i went back in my records i saw the last time i changed the plugs was over 80,000 miles ago. and the actual spark plug wires were original..the car has 205k on it now. i will just keep a eye on it, but im thinking it may be time to start looking for another vehicle before it turns into a big money pit lol

I'd get those 02 sensors replaced to be on the safe side... if you didn't already do that.
