I have seen it done and right now there is a Camaro here in my area on CL for sale with the L67 in it. It needs a new trans and the guy wants a truck now. GM even built a SC'd firebird to test the feasibility of the combo but deemed the system too complex for the Camaro firebird configuration. Mainly the engine being mostly under the dash.
As for the engines they both share a same trans mounting pattern but you would have to use a flywheel for a 3800 as they are balanced differently than the 3.4l is. The 3800 is a 90* block and the 3.4 is a 60* block. Because the 3800 is a 90* block it needs a countershaft to help smooth it out. The 3800 owes it's roots to an aluminum block V8 dating back to the 1960's. It has gone through 3 different owners ( Buick, Kaiser/jeep, AMC and back to Buick) and 5 major revisions. Odd Fire, Even Fire, 3800, 3800 Series II, and the 3800 Series III. Our Camaros are compatible ONLY with the Series II and Series III engines. If you are interested check out the threads I made on the subject of compatibility of this engine.

You know you can match the supercharger preformance just by upgrade your 3800 for a lot less money? These top mount supercharger are tuff to add an intercooler too. Without and intercooler and well built Non-supercharged 3800 is going to out run them. Pushing hot compressed air into a high compression cylinder never works well.
Most of your really fast 3800 are turbo charged with an intercooler.
