I did 3500 instead of 3400 because compression will be slightly lower (11.5 vs 12+), so I'll be able to use my stock bottom end and drive with pump gas. You'll also need a much better cam (either get a custom one or call up Comp Cams and ask them what you need for your setup) and one heck of a tune. You'll also need either adjustable rockers or custom-length pushrods.

how much money for all the parts? how much for a tune and was should all be done on this tune? how much hp will you do with this setup including cai and a cat-back exhaust? because i have less then 30lbs of oil pressure at2400rpm and im supposed to have 45-60 for the 3.4 at 2400rpm so im guessing im gonna need to do a rebuild.lol

Well it ain't gonna be cheap. I got the lower intake and heads (with valve covers) for $150, but that was a heck of a deal. idk what a good cam costs, but I imagine it isn't very cheap either. I'm guessing another $100 for upper intake manifold and throttle body, idk about the rockers/pushrods. You can get brand new Pacesetter headers off ebay for about $275 I believe. A legit CAI will cost roughly $120 give or take. Cat-back would be $350(?), and a tune will probably cost about $500+. Look around for a refutible dyno-tuning shop in your area, have them work out the kinks and stuff once you have your final engine setup in place.

I'm still in the planning/collecting stages right now. Once the semester's over I'll be getting hard to work on it. The interior and exterior both need some attention, so that's higher up on my priority list. But don't worry, when the time comes, I'll make one

oh yeah forgot to mention, I'm not positive about final hp numbers. I've seen people say anywhere from 175 to 250. All I know is that if I'm making over 200, I'll be pretty happy.

nice looking camaro...you and i we have pretty good taste in cars (see pic)...i am fairly mechanically inclined but i dont have the knowledge to modify my engine or even where to start but i'm always wrenching on my bike...your thread would be pretty beneficial to me...my 3.4 is completely stock accept for a flowmaster exhaust...maybe a CAI is in order...good luck on your project after the semester...

well on fttp they have a cam/valve train kit for 330 and where would you get a throttle body spacer and a intake manifold?

best bet would be a junkyard. if you go to car-part.com, they have junkyard listings of all sorts of parts, and if you enter in a specific year or model for the part, it will give you listings for all the parts compatible. That's where I found the deal on the heads/lower intake.
