I have 94 3.4L TT w/ 80K. It won't start after overheating. I have verified fuel present and proper pressure, but no smell of fuel near air intake. using paper clip method of OBD1 Code reading all that happens is SES light comes on but no flashing or code at all. Is this a sign of fried PCM or some sort of lockout that happens. I have Chilton's manual and have followed all procedures suggested such as checking for spark. Does turn over and appears to have correct spark. Can I remove this module and take it somewhere to have it checked? Any suggestions may be helpful. The car is off the road so I cannot drive it to dealer or auto shop.

 

you can only do the paper clip method on pre-93.Does the engine crank at all ?
