94 camaro v6 3.4 vibration problem
I have a 94 camaro with a 3.4 and it has a bad vibration at higher rpms. sounds almost like a bad motormount.
I have replaced the motor mounts and it didnt fix it. you can hear it more so on the right side of the car like the exhuast is vibrating, I have also checked that and it is sucure and not hitting anythang. In addition i have replaced the timing chain, intake gaskets, fuel injectors,
valve lifters, plugs and wires and the problem wont go away. it idles smooth and runs good no missfire no codes. up to about 2000 rpm it starts vibrating and as well you can feel it. I just dont know what to do with it, but am very tired of hearing it. does anybody possibly know what the problem could be, any help would be helpful right now!

Im jon from Olney, IL I've had this car for almost a year. It is my 2 camaro and the only one i have ever drove my first one was an 84 Z28 I wasent able to get it finished before i got rid of it so never drove it. I have wanted one since i was about 10 so you could imagine v8 or no i love the car. and thats why the vibration noise is so anoying.
My father was a mechanic so i grew up around a garage and i have tried everythang and cant seem to find the problem.

If you think it is exhaust, look again for any pieces of the exhaust that is close to any other part. Say 3/4 of an inch or so. Could be that when the car is running lower rpms, the exhaust is not hitting but as more rpms and torque on the running gear, the exhaust my be vibrating against something else. Check the tranny mount as well. My ole jeep did that when I bent the exhaust mount on the cross memeber. Drove me nuts. Not a sound under 35 mph but 55 sounded like I had a jack hammer under the seat.

the cross pipe is about 1/4 inch away from the engine cross member but its not hitting it or it doesnt show any marks anyway, Im workin on changing out the egr valve now as a possible cause, i cleaned my old one and seemed to make a little difference so maybe that will fix it. Thanks for the support

no nothing close to that when you rev it to about 2000 rpm weather its in gear or not or going down the road it well you really cant feel it maybe on floor board a little but u can hear it mostly and its a very rapid hollow vibrating like metel to metel sound coming from the passenger front of motor. sounds like a rock stuck between motor mount and frame if you know that sound. but ive been threw it all had the motor raised and new motor mounts and trans mounts put in exhuast is sucure. doesent make a diference with belt on or off or torque convertor unbolted thinking maybe a weight came off of it and was throwing it off balance. It started doing this one night and was like an instant thang I was hoping someone has had this problem before and new what it was.
