Default 93 rough idle

Hey all,

I'm currently new you can see a bit of my history in the new members section. I currently have ran into a problem with my car. Currently my car has the following symptoms.

Rough Idle, Poor Acceleration, Wet/Saturated Spark plugs

We tested the spark plugs on a lawn mower and the spark is still good. What I believe is the 1st? cylinder was the worse when it came to being saturated, and it wasn't just gas it was oil too.

My cars catalytic converter decided to crap out on me causing my engine to overheating. This however didn't fully happen until I got my car to my dads, where it stalled out from overheating. (The temperature didn't actually shoot up until I turned to pull into their neighborhood however we're going to replace the thermometer anyways)

So does anyone know what could be causing the above issues. The car won't stall out now which was obviously caused by overheating and the computer telling it to shut off to save it. (we gutted the catalytic converter and I replaced the muffler, someone had a glass pack cherry bomb on it and the glass pack raddled >_>)

I need as much help as possible, if I forgot anything just throw questions up and I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks in advanced,
Scott

Testing a plug on a lawn mower is usless, you are talking a 12,000 volt system vs a 80,000 volt system. If your plug is oil foul the answer is pretty plain to see.

The fact you cat pluged is not a big surpise. If you are getting oil into the cylinder an old car would just smoked like a train. A car with a cat on it would burn up that smoke in the cat until the cat pluged.

Step one do a compression test if that seems ok then change up the plugs and see how much the car smokes.

Yeah, it tosses no codes. As for what we tested the plugs on it could of been a generator, we were just seeing if they even sparked but I plan on replacing them anyways because of how badly they were saturated. The main focus is what caused this to happen in the first place it hadn't been that long since I replaced the plugs.
