I recently picked up my step-dads old 93' v6 and it doesn't shift right, i know obviously it has to do with the transmission, hes convinced it has something to do with the governor but i'm not sure what it is. Im a do-it-yourself kind of guy and dont want to go to a mechanic any thoughts on why it could be doing this?

 

The first thing you should do is to verify that the TV cable is properly adjusted. (not the one used to watch football games).

 

haha dont worry i know enough about cars to know what the TV cable is lol im 19 but i grew up around cars ill give it a shot
