Are these engines known for any problems throughout all of them??? My troubles are loss of power, tach jumping, not smooth, and it runs hotter than normal. This happens occasionally, like someone has a switch that they are ficking on and off. When it runs like this and you pull out a spark plug it smells strongly like gas, like its not being burned off.

 

Does the check ngine lite come on?

 

Nope. No warnings. The signs it gives is a jumping tach, hard shifting and loss of power and it runs warmer.

 

What would the engine do if the ehaust was being blocked? Like a baffle broken and moving around inside?
