Hello,

Can I cut & splice any wires going to or from the ECM on a 94 Camaro 3.4 v-6 without getting into trouble? I have been told that changing the length of the wires changes the resistance, thus changing the voltage getting to the ECM, thus causing problems.

The reason I ask is, I am putting the 94 Camaro 3.4 v-6 (L-32) engine and 4L60E trans into a 67 MGB. I am keeping the fuel injection, computer controlled trans and all the wireing. Obviously the MG is a much smaller car so I have a lot of extra wire. I have handled all the lights, & gauges, but I am concerned about the wiring between the engine & the ECM. The engine is in the car and runs I just want things neater.

Another small problem, In the battle to get the engine in I broke and lost the oil pressure sender on the oil filter mounting boss. When I try to buy a new one I am asked, "2 or 3 wire?". I have only one light brown wire which runs from the sender directly to the gauges. Can you give me a good part number for the sender I need?

The VIN from the donor Camaro is 2G1FP22S5R2120994.

Thanks: Bernie
