does anyone know if the 6 speed trannys out of the v8 camaros will bolt up to a 99 v6 5 speed camaro or will there be mods and problems needed to be taken care of???

 

It won't directly bolt up. You'll need to do quite a bit of modifying.

 

why would you spend $1500 on a 6spd, when you can get a ls1 swap for $3000? you want the sound a performance of a v8 just do a swap or buy a new car.

He just asked if it would fit, nothow to get the sound and performance ofan OMG LS1. Also, why would he buy an LS1 if all he wants is the transmission? The $3000 you quote is kind of on the low side, and you'll need more than just an engine and tranny... How bout instead of bashing on a V6 guy for inquiring about something, ya stay in the other sections or give useful information... Thanks.

 

however, the 6m isnt going to do much for the v6, and all the work it will take makes it not worth it imo.

 

why else would you swap a 6spd? and he post how can i make my v6 sound like a v8. you can get complete pull outs for 3k call around, there starting to get old. Not bashing, just saying

 

I guess I answered that thread too, huh. So many ask that I can't remember. Some sixers make enough power to make use of the 6-speed... Probably not his though.
