There are alot of wiring differences, gearing differences, and the engine computer is not the same. The flywheel is not the same, nor is the clutch assy. The bell housing will bolt up to the engine and the tranny is the same as the 3.8L would have gotten. The starter will need to be changed as will the X member for the tranny. Driveline should be good. I would not personally do the swap. if your auto is just slipping a little try putting some posi additive in your tranny and see if it helps the slipping. It wont hurt you but it may help you. It helped my car when I first brought it home the tranny was chattering between 1st and 2nd. Hope this helps you

I pretty sure the hydralic clutch system is completely different. I am not sure if the make up something that would work without getting a machine shop involved. The flywheel from a 3800 working with a clutch system from a 3.4?

The Series II 3800 uses the 60 deg. bellhousing pattern. Series I and 231 engines have the BOPC or 60 deg. housing pattern depending on if the engine is FWD or RWD. Series III engines also use the 60 deg. pattern

Yea I remembered they switched the bolt pattern. If you didn't use the quote I would have denied the whole thing.
