3800 series 2 ground on passenger side cylinder head
3800 series 2 on a 2002 v6. Im confused as to how this originally went and I didnt take a picture of it good enough. Ok check out the pic here. This little mount goes right behind part of the pulley on the passenger side and holds part of the spark plug wires, the wiring harness, and a ground wire coming from the battery. my question is.. where does the ground wire need to be? does it go, ground, black thing, nut/bolt combo and screw the extra nut over that? or black thing, nut/bolt combo thing, ground wire, then that extra nut? i think the latter of the two but does that ground wire need to be in contact with the head itself? thats my confusion. thanks guys.
edit: im going through the 'location of everything" files and i believe this is G110? if so then i am mistaken it is the block not the head. still my question remains, in what order do those items go? well to simplify the question, where in all that does the ground NEED to be?

thanks crabs. so basically im finishing up that head gasket job on my 02 that ive been putting off for a while. I have EVERYTHING done and im planning on trying to fire her up today. im gonna run some oil through her to flush in essence before i put good oil in it and fire her up. can you think of anything i should do before i actually turn the key? im like 98% done and i just got the alternator bolted on, just gotta put the o2's on, the air filter box, and hook up the battery after putting fresh coolant and oil in and ill be good to go.

YES! It is and I thought it was having issues but it isnt. It had this Silencer system on it that I had disconnected and when I went to start it, it wouldnt turn over and it took me 30 minutes to realize that was it. Then once I got it fired up.. it was idling reaaaally rough at first.. like rocking the car back and forth rough but that cleared up after a few minutes. It was smoking a bit at first but I read that it is normal for that to happen. The oil pressure was 90+ which was unusually high even though the level was right but that cleared up too. Might have been since I switched it from conventional to synthetic. I took it for a quick spin and it drove great. I let it run for close to half an hour and no issues other than the generous amount of anti seize I put on the O2 sensors cooking creating some smoke. I cant believe it didnt give me any major fuss. I checked every inch I could possibly see and I cant see any leaks.
Craby I am SOOOO happy. My first head gasket job and I did literally 100% of it myself and it worked out great. Well.. aside from the help yall gave me over the time. This forum has been absolutely CRITICAL to me making my foray into the world of DIY. I cant thank yall enough. The job took me close to 5 months but I had also acquired 2 more 4th gens during that time, which sometimes preoccupied me. Well I finally buckled down the past week and finished the job. I am just ECSTATIC tonight man. So happy
