Series II 3.8L engine blocks are the same from FWD to RWD the heads and a few other parts are not the same tho. Trannys are easy to swap out so that is not a big deal. I dont have access to my store right now so I dont know if the injectors are compatable. I will try to get a look at them on Sunday.

The Cobra T45 a mustang thing? Mustang transmission will not fit in Camaros. The Camaro trans is mounted on a 15 deg angle so the shifter is rotated 15 degs. If the trans is for a stang your shifter would be pushing on your leg.
no i checked the part number and even ordered a short shifter for it. a T5 didnt fit but a t45 fit perfect. my car has a T45 cobra trans. fits in my car perfect...thts y i always thought it was stock..... and the shifter is curved so it stands up straight. my stock shifter and short shifter

Based on a quick internet search it can not be a T45. I am not sure where you are getting your info from but they only made the T45 96-98. It was only installed in the Cobras and it had the Ford bell houseing built right on it. Also the T-45 and the T-5 used the same shifter.
The reason I ask so much about this is there are a great many guys that build these 3.8 and many have gone to automatic becuase of the T5 limitation. If there was a stronger bolt in replacment that would be HUGE to the racing guys. That would be as big as a cheap bolt on turbo kit.

loll well i am positive i have a t-45 transmission. its not stock with the car, i checkd the rpo codes and it was stock t-5. but right now it has a t45. which explains alot of how i can beat other v6's that are more modded out then mine.
the t45 cam in 96-99 cobras, its the t5 bell housing i think but t45 trans.
and no t5 shifters have a rectangular base, the t45 have a sqaure base plate

Here are some of the info I found. There is a T45 and a Cobra T45. There is no way its a Cobra T45 cause that will only fit one Ford engine. It will not even bolt to a ford 302 Just the 4.6L modular motor. I also searched for T45 and Camaro and I got no hits. I would really like to know how a T45 was put into a Camaro. It looks like they are good for about 25% more torque then the T5s. The only benift you would get from the T45 is a stronger tranny, It uses all the same gears as a T5. It would not make you car even a tenths of a second faster.
