The 3.8's walk all over the 3.4's . A cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust. With that you should hang wit the 3.8's

My 3.4 hangs with 3.8 II's I have a custom true Cold air Induction, magnaflow exhaust, and the 5 speed really helps against auto 3.8's. I actually beat a 99 camaro 3.8II last week.

There is a 40 hp difference and a difference of 25 in the torque deparment. It's going to take more than an intake and catback exhaust to make up for that difference.

YOU CANT BEAT ME IM THE BEST BWAH!!!!

No driver makes a huge difference, how they shift when, like my friend in his GLI I keep up with him because he over revs sometimes or short shifts, and hes slow at doing it. I have been told peopel confuse the sound of mine for a auto, since I do it so fast, I figure thats like the one thing Im good at naturally, that and sliding cars . otherwise I probably, suck, for example when Im the get away driver I alwayst turn down the colda-sacks.......

The 3.4 is notorious for intake manifold gasket leaks and so is the 3.8 At least for the 3.8 GM has a better redesigned gasket out for them.
