Default 3.8 camaro headers!

So im going to install aftermarket headers for the first time. i plan on getting pacesetters because ive heard good things about them. I just got some ???s. Are the ebay pacesetters legit? Will i need anything else beside what comes with this kit? Any tips or advise? This is a cali car by the way.

I'm sitting on a set of Pacesetters I purchased off ebay a while back. I remember hearing that a good addition was the purchase of better gaskets and fasteners from Abbott Racing Heads. I think the gaskets were gonna cost around $35.

I'll be using them. I've just got too many things going on right now to stop and get them installed. Plus, I'm really wanting to pull my motor and freshen it up again. I had the heads redone and installed a cam back in '03, but I really want to go through the whole block and install the headers then.

If the car is high miles, you might want to replace your engine mounts while the manifolds & headers are out -- it will be a lot easier...

im with you on that one. definitely buy some gaskets because they come with some crappy gaskets that wont last that long. i bought pacesetter lt's for my 95z and about a year later i had one of them blown and had a terrible exhaust leak. i had to order some gaskets. might as well do it now to save you the trouble.

Expect the pipe leading to the Converter to not be round. You will need to make it round so it will seal when clamped. I used a set of torches and a hammer and dolly to make mine round. A year later my converter plugged, be gentle the converter does not like hammers.
