Default 3.73

Thinking about getting 3.73's. Just wanted to see if I could install them myself or if I would need to have a shop do it. If a shop did it how much of a bill would I be looking at if there were no problems?

This type of work is very area dependent. A guess would be between $300-$600 Labor. You want to make sure you find a show that does it all the time. These days there is no where near as many as there use to be. You should replace the pinion and the carrier bearings a the same time.

Setting up a rear is not complicated but it is unforgiving. You don't set it up right its a do over and you could roach the diff while you are at it.

Might steer away from that right now...what about the one piece drive shaft swap? I've read people say its a very noticeable difference. Is it as easy to swap as it seems?

Easy swap, I serious doubt you car feel it. I would guess less then 1-2hp to the wheel differents.

3.73 in a V6 that's likely a daily driver? I dunno, for perspective, the (manual) ZL1 has 3.73 gears (3.23 auto):
