they are both 60degree v6s so i do not understand why you can not interchange transmissions could someone, anyone please explain this to me?
i have a 94 3.4 Camaro and i want to swap to a manual i know its alot of work but that,s the easy part for me. my friend has a smashed 97 with the 3.8l and manual i was going to buy it off him real cheap and swap the tranny and all the necessary parts but now after all i have read they say it is not possible please help!!!!!

Where are you getting your facts? 3800 is not a 60 deg motor and the 3.4/3.8 do use the same bolt pattern.

You can not use a 97 t5 in a 94 camaro with all the 94 parts because of the clutch design but I do not think there is any reason you could not swap all the parts from the 97. Remember you still going to have to deal with your computer (its going to be looking for that automatic and your floor. You can cut the floor out of the donor car and weld into your.
